LeSLIE Bosserman, Director
Leslie Bosserman, M.Ed., CPCC, has a long-standing professional background in education and leadership. As an entrepreneur and mother, she runs The Makers Place™ and Lead With Intention® and is actively involved in the Greater Sacramento community. Her background in Early Childhood Education and passion for supporting parents and families is only paralleled by her love for local coffee and hosting events that bring people together. As the Preschool Director, Leslie supports the administration of our Mini Makers™ Preschool, including admission, enrollment, hiring, and training.
SOPHIA STULTS, Lead Teacher
Sophia Stults, B.A., has a passion for teaching and has a long history in early childhood education. Graduating from Mills College where she studied Child Development, Sophia has worked in a variety of preschool programs over the past few years from Oakland to Sacramento where she developed a passion for teaching young children. When not in the classroom, Sophia enjoys spending time with family, going to local cafes and eating good food!
TEACHER’S AIDES + support staff
Brianne Purcell is a warm and cheerful mother of two young children. Born and raised in Santa Cruz by a special day class aide turned kindergarten teacher, she spent countless hours volunteering in classrooms during her formative years and working with young children. Her favorite hobby of photography lead her to work as a full-time wedding and portrait photographer until becoming a mother. She is looking forward to continuing her love of working with children in our Mini Makers™ Preschool as the Aide in our Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes.
Miah Hood was born and raised in Sacramento and has a long history working with children and serving as a caregiver. She was selected to be part of the Mayor’s Thousand Strong Program to help improve our Sacramento community. Miah is passionate about helping others make positive lifestyle changes and wants to be an entrepreneur one day! She also enjoys journaling, listening to music, and cleaning. Miah will be working in our Mini Makers™ Preschool as the Aide in our Tuesday and Thursday classes.
Isabel Calderas, B.S., RBT, graduated from UC Davis with her degree in Human Development. Her passion of working with children is evident through her years of experience as after school tutor, nanny, and intern at the UC Davis Medical Center in the Pediatrics Department. Isabel is a Registered Behavior Technician, has her EMT Certification, and plans to attend nursing school. She loves to go hiking and spends her free time with her three dogs and cat. Isabel will serve as a substitute for our Preschool Program.
Christina Law, B.A., RBT, graduated from CSULA and studied Psychology. She has been a Registered Behavior Technician for over three years and loves working with kids and families and helping improving dynamics. Christina grew up in Sacramento and is excited to be back and working with kids again in our Mini Makers™ Preschool as a substitute and Behavior Consultant. When she’s not working, Christina enjoys spending quality time with her family and experimenting with yummy recipes!
Joel Bosserman, Behavior Analyst
Joel Bosserman, M.A., BCBA, has a decade of professional experience supporting children and families as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He currently runs an early-intervention program for children with autism for Yolo County as well as manages Entropy Behavior Services, Inc. He is involved with our Mini Makers™ Preschool on a consultative basis when families need more behavior support and parent training.
