LeSLIE Bosserman, Director
Leslie Bosserman, M.Ed., CPCC, has a long-standing professional background in education and leadership. As an entrepreneur and mother, she runs The Makers Place™ and Lead With Intention® and is actively involved in the Greater Sacramento community. Her background in Early Childhood Education and passion for supporting parents and families is only paralleled by her love for local coffee and hosting events that bring people together. As the Preschool Director, Leslie supports the administration of our Mini Makers™ Preschool, including admission, enrollment, hiring, and training.
Heidi Kinnick, Lead Teacher
Heidi Kinnick, M.A., is an experienced educator with a passion for the early childhood years. As a mother of three elementary-aged children Heidi volunteers as room parent coordinator, fourth grade California history instructor, and PTA board member. She enjoys traveling and bicycling adventures with her family. As the Lead Teacher at our Mini Makers™ Preschool, Heidi is responsible for creating and implementing curriculum, actively engaging students in playful learning, and enriching each child’s unique preschool experience.
Jessica McLaughlin is a mom to four children, holds a B.S. in social work, and has years of experience working with children and families. As a social worker, she focused on supporting young children birth to age five. Jessica has worked and volunteered at her children’s elementary school as an Enrichment Educator where she leads the robotics team, teaches Lego Engineering, and even founded the school’s debate team. As a Teacher’s Aide, Jessica supports the learning and development of all students through play and structured activities in our Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes.
Isabel Calderas is a recent UC Davis graduate with her B.S. in Human Development. Her passion of working with children his evident through her years of experience as after school tutor, nanny, and intern at the UC Davis Medical Center in the Pediatrics Department. Isabel recently got her EMT Certification and plans on going to nursing school. She loves to go hiking and spends her free time with her three dogs and cat. Isabel will be our Teacher’s Aide in our Tuesday and Thursday classes.
Joel Bosserman, Behavior Analyst
Joel Bosserman, M.A., BCBA has a decade of professional experience supporting children and families as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He currently runs an early-intervention program for children with autism for Yolo County as well as manages Entropy Behavior Services, Inc. He is involved with our Mini Makers™ Preschool on a consultative basis when families need more behavior support and parent training.
